Sailing around Breiðafjörður's innumerable islands, the ever-so popular Viking Sushi Adventure Voyage offers a glimpse of the fjord's fairytale-like-scenery: variegated rock faces, areas of historical interest, along with the strongest ocean currents anywhere on Iceland's coasts. Birds, fresh seashell samplers, Breiðafjörður's innumerable islands, a taste of history and unforgettable adventures.
The Ferry Baldur
The way to Flatey Island and the Westfjords Ferry Baldur daily crosses Breidafjörður Bay between Stykkishólmur on the Snæfellsnes peninsula and Brjánslækur in the north of Iceland. A ferry trip shortens the route between the south and mid-west of the country and the West Fjords region. It gives you also the opportunity to experience a floating restaurant. During the summer months there are two departures daily; see summer schedule. Over the summer many visitors choose to visit the beautiful charming island of Flatey, renowned for its birdlife. It's popular to take the morning ferry from Stykkishólmur and return in the evening or continue on to Brjánslækur. For those traveling by car it is possible to send the car across the bay, whole stopping in Flatey (without extra charge).Note that limited stops are in Flatey Island during the winter. Please order space for cars on the ferry in advance.Seatours also offers the Unique Adventure tour, Tourmet Tours for groups and various private tours
Láki Tours
Láki Tours offers responsible whale watching tours from Ólafsvík and puffin tours from Grundarfjörður in Snæfellsnes. We also offer whale watching tours from Hólmavík in the Westfjords.  Whale Watching from Ólafsvík West Iceland is a paradise for whale enthusiasts and famous for its unique whale species. Snæfellsnes is the only area in Iceland where orcas are seen regularly. Another unique species around Snæfellsnes are sperm whales. Sperm whales are the largest toothed whales in the world and one of the deepest diving whales. Other species we reguluarly see on our whale trips are humpback whales, minke whales, pilot whales, and white-beaked dolphins. Our whale watching tours from Ólafsvík run between February and September and last between 2 to 3.5 hours. Seeing the magnificent landscape around the glacier and the famous mount Kirkjufell from sea is an additional highlight. Season: February - September Address: Norðurtangi 9, 355 Ólafsvík.  Puffin tours from Grundarfjörður A nature reserve on the nearby island Melrakkaey attracts hundreds of puffins and other seabirds. From Grundarfjörður, our 1,5 hour puffin tour on a traditional oak boat offers a great opportunity to see these amazing birds in their nesting environment. It is wonderful to see puffins lined up along the edge of the cliffs like sentries on watch while the other birds wade and warble through the waves around the island with its basalt columns. A slow cruise around the island gives photographers a golden opportunity to capture the variety of birds on the island through their lenses. This amazing trip is not just about birds - the setting for the trip with Mt. Kirkjufell dominating the scenery also lends enchantment to the view.   Season: June - August Address: Nesvegur 1-3, 350 Grundarfjörður Follow us on social media where we regularly post photos from our whale watching tours - Facebook , Instagram
